Site terms
Terms of use
These terms set out how this website may be used. The site publishes an independent casino-hotel index, hotel profiles and a booking-request desk. It does not operate a hotel, casino, travel agency, online casino or payment service. Use of the site means acceptance of these terms.
index / Terms
1. What this site publishes
This site publishes editorial information about Australian casino hotels. The main index ranks ten physical casino-hotel properties by a published scoring method. The ranking is based on dated source material, not on live hotel inventory, live casino operations or unpublished commercial information.
The scoring model is explained on the method and weights page. It uses five groups: hotel, leisure, dining and entertainment, access, and transparency. The source table is separated from the scores so readers can inspect the underlying values in the 30-parameter table and the group totals in scores by group.
Each concrete hotel detail should come from a published source recorded in the site’s data file. If a venue does not publish a value, the site may mark it as not published and may score that absence under transparency. The site does not estimate a missing room count, distance, capacity, opening hour, price or policy.
2. Dated facts and editorial scores
Facts and scores are dated snapshots. A hotel may change opening hours, room categories, restaurant lists, parking terms, venue capacities, ownership wording, regulator status, facilities, access arrangements or loyalty-programme details after a page is edited. The site aims to show the relevant date or source quality where that matters.
Scores are editorial comparison tools. They are not hotel ratings, guest-review scores, safety findings, legal advice, financial advice or recommendations to gamble. A high total means that, under the published method, more of the measured parameters were present, published or stronger than at other properties in the same index. It does not guarantee that a property is suitable for a particular traveller.
The site covers physical venues only. Australia bans online casino play under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. Nothing on this site offers, enables or links to online casino play.
3. Rates, availability and requests
The site does not guarantee room rates, packages, fees, taxes, availability, inclusions, cancellation terms, check-in conditions, parking charges or accessibility arrangements. Where a price appears on an editorial page, it must be treated as a dated published fact, not as a current offer from this site.
A booking request sent through the site is a request for information or assistance. It is not a confirmed booking. Any booking, amendment, cancellation, payment, refund, bond, identification check, special request or dispute is between the reader and the relevant hotel, booking partner or other travel supplier.
The desk may use the details supplied by a reader to check availability with a hotel or partner. It may decline to process a request. It does not take card details through the editorial request form. More information about the service is on query the desk, and commercial arrangements are summarised on how this site earns.
4. Links, third parties and venue sites
Hotel profile pages may link to official hotel sites. External sites are controlled by their operators, not by this publisher. Their terms, privacy notices, booking conditions, responsible-gambling material, payment systems and accessibility statements apply when a reader uses them.
The site may also link to regulator pages, venue pages, booking partners or source material. A link does not mean endorsement, affiliation, agency, control or approval. External pages may change, move, restrict access or remove information. If an external source changes, the site may retain the dated fact until the next review or may mark the item as not published.
The ten-profile list at all ten is editorial. The site is not affiliated with any house, regulator or casino operator unless a page states otherwise, and no venue can buy its score or position in the index.
5. Reader responsibilities
Readers should verify all practical details with the hotel or booking partner before travelling. This includes room type, accessibility needs, transport, parking height limits, age restrictions, identification requirements, check-in and check-out times, pool or spa access, restaurant openings, event dates and any construction or closure notices.
Casino entry is subject to venue rules and state or territory law. Minimum casino entry age is 18 across Australian states and territories. The site’s purpose is hotel comparison; it does not encourage gambling and does not provide gambling services.
Readers must not use the site to send false enquiries, interfere with the site, scrape content at scale without permission, misrepresent a relationship with the publisher, or use the request form for unlawful, abusive or misleading messages.
6. Liability and governing law
The site is provided on an editorial and information basis. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher excludes liability for loss arising from outdated source material, changed venue terms, unavailable rooms, third-party booking issues, external-site errors, travel disruption, regulatory changes or reliance on an editorial score.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Australian consumer law. If a non-excludable guarantee applies, the publisher’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Publisher details are provided in the site footer.
